Re: Question on hair growth and PCOSFrom: Minni (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 19 Feb 2002 20:29:08 -0600 (CST)
Hello My hair growth started when I was about 15 and got worse but the hair was dark and very noticable. As the years went on it started getting worse but I feel that it has gotten really out of control the past couple of years. I am going to be 26 this year and have hair everywhere and I am not exaggerating. I have hair my back at certain places and I have hair on my back....not as much as I do on my legs and my stomach and other areas. I have never shaved my back but the hair on my mid-back is thick and dark. I feel that although the hair feels thicker after you shave but that's only stubble. If the hair grows after you have shaved, It becomes softer but looks darker. I have never done anything to my back but the hair that I do have is coarse and dark. I think that the women who have this condition, some of the hair that we grow can be dark and thick whether we have shaved, waxed or even if we have not done anything at all to it.
