Visited with my endocrinologist

Hi all,

It's me again. Just wanted to say that I am back from my endo's appointment and she prescribed 25mg spiro 2x a day and some minocycline for me. I am to take this and see her in 2 months.

She also told me something that surprised me. I told her that my gyn gave me ortho tri cycline for pcos and she told me that she has a lot of pcos patients and that bcp's are definitely not the way to go for me b/c my estrogen levels are normal, only my testosterone levels are elevated...and that too much estrogen in the body would be converted into testosterone as well! She also measured my blood pressure and it was high due to the ortho. she said that my cholesteral probably went up too and that i should stop taking bcp's immediately. Does anyone know about this?
