Hi!

I'm not a doctor but I have had more ultrasounds of my ovaries than I could ever begin to count! Most cysts are fluid filled, benign cysts. My doctor and many of my ultrasound technicians say that they can usually tell the general composition of cysts using ultrasound technology. Many, many women have benign cysts, Candi and they don't even know it. Every time I get an ultrasound I have my technician tell me the composition and ask if anything looks suspicious.

I would not freak out about this. You can ask your doctor what the composition of the cyst looked like in the ultrasound (this should be in with the ultrasound notes). My doctor says that she will not order a biopsy on a fluid filled cyst. My guess is that you're fine. Take care! God bless! Tera
