I have not done any research on this but you might want to. I would look up cimetidine (the chemical name for Tagamet) + anti androgens. I know that Tagamet has been shown to have the side effect of lowering blood pressure in some like spiro. It also may cause gynomastia (increase in breast tissue) in men, so I *assume* that it has some anti-androgen effect.

I have taken heat on this before but I think that Tagamet is like aspirin. It will do thaings that we did not know it would do and it has far more uses than anyone ever imagined. Our dermatologist prescribed it for warts on my son when he was 8. It took about three weeks and all of the warts on his hands disappeared. (The previous derm. told us it was psychological and all in his mind!)

Are you taking Glucophage with the Tagamet? It increases the effectiveness of the Glucophage so you may be able to take less Glucophage. :-)
