Re: pcos & anemia,mono,yeast infections?From: Mel (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 12 Feb 2002 07:43:52 -0600 (CST)
Hi Jo To me this is a really scary message, read on please! When i was 18 i was diagnosed pcos, and at 22 i was diagnosed with ME (Chronic Fatague Syndrome or Yuppie Flue as the Brits here like to call it). I had yeast infection after yeast infection, colds and flue back to back, amemic type sym, ptoms eg aching joints and muscles and i lookes really awfull. I had 6 months out of work to recover and then a futher 6 months of part time and studing. My speacialist treated me with niastatin (spelling!!) for the Candida and yeast infections, magnesium zinc for the aching and pine bark extract and seaweed extract for general sympotoms. I had a lot of massage, lymphatic drainage treatment , accurpuncture and reflexology. They all helped me to feel better, metally i felt more in controll. I also spent as much time as possible in direct sun light as possible even if was ciold i wrapped up warm and sat outside. I found that my PCOS symptoms lesses slightly in this period but i was so tired maybe i just did not notice them. Fell free to contact me direct on melaniepoxon@slough.gov.uk Please take heart it does get easier, i am now 31 working full time, but i just listen to my body and sleep when i need to, a few early nights in the week and a good long sleep in at the weekends, a great chance for my dh to do the housework as a 'suprise'! I wish you both strength and love
-- Mel
