Re: PCOS and Hair Loss

I have to share that I am very thin (just about 100lb) and have been this weight for about 8 years. Still, I suddenly started experiencing problems with hair loss about a year ago-- I don't know why it would just happen out of the blue, but it isn't my weight that's the issue. That being said, from waht I understand, it may help to lose weight if you are overweight, since being overweight tends to aggrevate most symptoms of PCOS.

Lastly, I put on 15-20lb (in just 2 months) when I went on BCPs 8 years ago. On a whim I started exercising for an hour 4 times/ week. This is my salvation. If I stop, I feel the weight go up a little. Just getting my body moving seems to help me tremendously. For any of you who don't exercise, I highly recommend it. IT makes me feel so good about myself!!!
