Hello all! I am 33 and went for my yearly pap. I have always had small amounts of facial hair ( Italian) and pretty normal periods. In the past few years I started noticing that the facial hair got to be a little more, I had PMS every month but my periods would come and go, and I gained some weight ( I have always been overweight). I thought it may all be because I am getting older. For the past year or so, I work out 4 times a week and try to eat low fat and more healthy. Welllll.... Can't lose weight. So... back to the appointment last Wed. I told the doc these things and she decided to run some tests. I should have the results back today or Monday. I am a little nervous but somewhat exicted. If it turns out to be PCOS, maybe this hair will go away and I won't have to spend $3K a year on laser treatments, maybe my mood swings will be better and maybe I can lose weight. The flip side is I have no clue if this is something treatable or even if it is something you can die from. Has anyone had these thoughts and if so, have you had them answered? THANKS!!!!!!!
