Hi Kimberly, I am sorry,I don't understand what you mean. What is normal? They still are doing further investigations on my thyroid, actually today,I went in for more thyroid tests, but just bloodwork again. No thyroid scan has been mentioned to me.I am sick and tired of getting these tests done repeatedly. It is the same old, same old tests done over and over again. My body temperatures are EXTREME! I am HOT,then COLD.When I am cold,my feet are purplish,as they were today at the doctor's office....then when warm,my feet are burning red.The same is in my legs, but again, only when they are down. This is strange. They still say it is raynauds phenomena and my doctor went into great detail about that today with me.It is one symptom of lupus.I still disagree with him,and clearly he can see that I don't fit with the classical symptoms of Raynauds.Mine never blanch and turn white,as they do with others with this syndrome.Others with this syndrome have purplish or red colors to their hands and fingers as well, but does not matter whether their legs are up or down.Mine will just be that color when down. This is stressing me out to say the least. Not only are they discolored when I stand, but hurt.My hands will also turn red when they are warm, and I mean RED,but never purple. I did try something else last night....I ate carbs before retiring and I was still freezing this morning,so,I don't know now if this is carb related for me.I also ate pasta for the first time in ages and it didn't bother me heatwise at all.I guess I am the Puzzle and will remain so,till they find out what is causing this for me. I am trying to find a pattern,as I tried the last week to keep the thermostat in my house untouched.I still get icy cold for no reason and then boiling hot for no reason. It is almost feeling as if I have a bad flu with the temps,as when I am cold,I am shaking cold. When I am hot,I cannnot cool off as I once was able to do.I mean that I cannot perspire sometimes to cool me off, only after a shower, that is when I will sweat bullets, then later will freeze.

I watched a very interesting show on Oprah yesterday, she had women on that were complaining of symptoms much the same as mine, and Oprah as well.ICy cold ,then hot,,apparantly these women get these heart palps out of the blue too,,have seen dozens of specialists who don't know what's going on,then only to find that they are actually pre-menopausal.They have the alternating heat and cold...they are also in their thirties.Makes one wonder. Thanks for your input! >I suggested further investigation into the thyroid not because of the
