I don't have a thyroid problem and I began having hot flashes and night sweats in my 20's. My Aunt has a thyroid problem and has never had a hot flash. Since I began using natural progesterone cream my hot flashes/night sweats have definitely decreased. I think it could be hormonal as well as thyroid related.
