The Feb 11th PEOPLE magazine has an article on people who have lost weight and there is a story on a woman in there who has PCOS - but they don't name it, they just say her doctors discovered that her body did not use insulin properly causing her to be infertile. She has lost 141 lbs so far. It says she went to an Atlanta weight-loss specialist who only charged her $1000 for her 1st consultation and $75.00 for every visit after that (geez - I have a hard time typing $1000.00- much less spending it! lol... it did say her insurance covered it though) and guess what he prescribed..... a low-carb, high protein diet of course. It would have been nice if they had gone into the PCOS more, but I guess since the story was about weight loss it was irrelevant? I was just excited to get more confirmation it can be done - now if only I could do it ;-) Susan C, :-)
