I have been really lucky and not suffered many gastro effects being on Metformin. However, I do find eating a lot of carbs does send me straight to the toilet. I had a lot of white bread and pasta at the weekend and boy, did I suffer for it !!! So if nothing else, at least this medication is encouraging me to eat health (or spend a lifetime on the loo).
