Re: Help...SOS!!!!Question..'S...anyone please!From: Joanne (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun, 3 Feb 2002 11:03:19 -0600 (CST)
Hi Barbara, I have found myself being very anxious and nervous lately too, but instead of poping a pill(which I have done often enough) I decided to try walking on our treadmill, I walk to a 1 1/2 and it has done wonders for me, on a treadmill you have to concentrate on what your doing or you go right off the back, so in doing this I cant think of everything else that is going on in my life, so for 40 minutes my brain can rest!!! I have found that when I'm done walking I am so much calmer and in a better mood and then can carry on with my day. Walking outside does not do this for me I tried that too, but living in MA, one can't walk outside in this weather to easily, so the treadmill was a good thing for me. Sorry I couldn't be of help medically but maybe this could work for you too. take care Joanne At Sun, 3 Feb 2002, Barbra wrote: > >Hello Ladies, > >First,I want to thank all that have been so supportive of my extremely >long posts.I have to let it all out someway. > >Question is: > >Is there any natural remedy that any of you know about or have tried to >help me with my 24/7 adrenaline surge? >I am at a point where I definitely feel I am going to crack!:( >Not one of my doctors has put me on any convention medications. >I was promised Metformin this week, but now won't as they did some >further testing that showed my DHEA"S more elevated than before.,same as >the free androgen index. The information was passed onto me from the >receptionist and again,I am to go in this upcoming week for MORE TESTS! > >I would think that there should be something to help with the adrenaline >surges. >I spoke tonight with my mental health care practicioner, and he said that >I just must take it easy till they know what exactly is wrong. He even >said to take valium for relief, but has done NOTHING!I have already taken >the maximum dose today, and you'd think I would be at least >semi-relaxed,but I am not,it is as if I had just taken about a hundred >bennies. Please, anyone else feel that hyper? >I have had thyroid abnormalites in the past, but the last test showed >normal highs for thyroid, again, told that it is still normal.Where is the >fine line here as to what is normal and normal highs? > >I am not depressed, but extremely anxious and nervous! This then leads me >to becoming depressed about living thru another day. > >Any advice at the moment would really be appreciated. > >-- >Sincerely, >Barbra Camara >
