Re: Weight gain with pregnancy

I gained an awful 65lbs with my prgnancy a couple years ago. I thought it was just the PCOS and unbearable sugar cravings, but when I finally got an appt. with the endocrinologist she discovered that I had gotten thyroid disease from the pregnancy (which is somewhat common) but that it had not gone away and that was the main reason I couldn't lose weight. So...you might want to ask to have your's checked. Since going on thyroid meds and glucophage I have lost 46 lbs. in the last 6 months. That's good enough for me! All I can stress is that you need to seek medical attention before you either gain more, or start feeling worse! It may be something totally medical and it's unfair to blame yourself.
