'hypersensitivity'From: heidi (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 29 Jan 2002 19:47:49 -0600 (CST)
i have extremely sensitive skin. since i've been little, i've had problems with getting sunburned VERY easily, getting rashes from laundry detergents, lotions, touching certain foods, etc. i am sexually active and i have noticed that my vagina and the area around it becomes very sensitive when i am very aroused. many times after i have an orgasm, i have to ask my boyfriend to pull out and just stop touching me because it feels overwelmingly sensitive and sometimes painful. i don't really think that the sensitivity is "normal". i am not sure if these sensitivities are related. i have tried to research a little about it on the internet, but as far as i can tell "hypersensitivity" seems like a made up condition to sell skin care products, and i can't find anything except a Cosmo reference to genital hypersensitivity. nothing against Cosmo, but it doesn't really seem reliable i'm sure i'm not dreaming this stuff up, but I'm wondering if this really exists (if other people have this problem??) and if there is anything i can do about the latter of the two issues i mentioned... thanks heidi
