Kristin,

Normally, I'm a lurker but I thought I'd reply to your request. I live in Elk Grove (Sac. area) and go to a 'regular' endo that treats PCOS with Metformin. She is a Sutter Health doctor - her name is Dr. Ginger McMullen. You will need to have a referral to see her, so your insurance needs to cover Sutter Health doctors. I've only seen her a few times, but so far I'm very happy with her.

I also got the names of two Kaiser doctors from another bulletin board (we were thinking of changing to Kaiser) - OB/GYN is Dr. Ruth Crane and the RE is Dr. Margaret (Peg) Malloy. According to the referral they are both well versed in PCOS and very supportive. Can't say personally, since I've never used them.

Hope this helps.
