Maybe I'm just too sleepy right now, but that isn't making sense to me. Is it
supposed to be "below" 4.5, not above? The further apart the better, so that
would mean a higher ratio. For example, an insulin of 7, for example, would
need a glucose below 31 to keep below a ratio of 4.5. An insulin of 7 with a
glucose of 91, which most people would consider to be good, would have a ratio
13, which is far above your limit of 4.5. However, an insulin of 76 and a
glucose of 112 (my original numbers) would have a ratio of 1.4, which would be
well below your IR cut off.
Am I thinking about this wrong?
