Re: Noticing Other Women With PCOS...

This post DOES raise some very valid points, as I'm sure we'll all
agree! Just to counter a bit of it though, remember that sooo many of us
went for years WITH doctors who never told us about PCOS or who told us
and never treated us. The vast majority of women who suffer from PCOS
remain undiagnosed. Also remember that last time we talked about this,
the general feeling was "You know, I wish someone had come and talked to
me years ago, it would have saved me so much suffering." Of course
people don't want to be told "Hey I noticed you're really bald and fat!"
But on the other hand, we also have an opportunity to prevent others
from going through the years of hell we all went through pre-diagnosis.
It all depends on how it is done and if it can be accomplished in a way
that treats this other woman with respect and dignity, which she
deserves.
