Hi Sonia I'm from the UK too. I don't have much to add, but I also recommend a visit to pcosupport.org and a search through the archives of this site to gather information on symptoms, blood tests, possible causes, treatment options. It sounds like you need a new doctor! One who wants to help with this! But at any rate get a referral to an endocrinologist or R.E who will hopefully have more of a clue about how to help you. Maybe take in printouts from pcosupport or this site that describe PCOS so you can get one. It might be worth changing doctor- I've personally found that in the last year more doctors and nurses in the UK seem to have heard of this, whereas when I first went a few years ago not one of the doctors in my practice had a clue. However I've not yet met one that actually knows much about it. If you are diagnosed with PCOS, whatever other treatments you try, try and get on an insulin sensitizer.
