Belle,

What if someone is born that way like I was? When I got a cold this past week (and it may have been the flu who knows) I got real cold and had to run the heater. Now that I'm over the cold I'm a little bit better as far as being back to normal.

Also as you may have seen from the discussion that I had with Bonnie about the Spiro, the last time that I was on the 100 mgs of that I got real hot in my hands only. The rest of my body temperature was normal but my hands were really warm to the touch. I had stopped the medication at the time b/c of how hot it was making me but now I'm going to have to go back on that dosage b/c while the 50 mg helped with some of the weight loss it did more for the excess hair growth as far as making it dwindle but now I need more help with the weightloss.

When I discussed my weight issue with my dr in 1999 (when I started taking the spiro again) she thought at first that it was just b/c I wasn't exercising and all that and it's not. I told her about the fact that I had PCOS (she does know how to treat this) and that this was the problem as to why I wasn't losing weight.

So then she asked me what I had in mind for a weight goal and I told her either 125 or 120 if possible (I'm 5' 1 1/2") even though I really want to get down to 125. When she figured out my BMI at the time (I was about 165 at the time I think) and made a notation of that on my chart as well as my goal for a target weight she thought about it and told me that she wanted me down to 130 lbs. She didn't say why and I forgot to ask why 130. I wanted to know this b/c of the fact that it used to be that where on the height scale you were a certain weight was better and I think that body frame was also a factor as well.

I still can't figure out a BMI though. Oh well.
