I'm having a hysterectomyFrom: angelaj (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun, 20 Jan 2002 14:58:23 -0600 (CST)
Just thought I'd let you all know that on February 14th, I will be going in for a hysterectomy. The pain from my endometriosis isn't getting any better and the lupron injections did not help. I've jumped through all the hoops the doctors required and this is the point we have reached, it needs to be done so I can get my life back..even with the pcos. The thought of being pain free, makes me jump for joy for a change! I have some mixed feelings about it though. Some relief, happy, and a little depressing. I know we aren't going to have anymore babies, but that little voice tells me...this is it, no chance EVER for more babies. I know the struggle we had to get the first 2 babies, but realize this is the right thing to do because of all the pain I am in. Like I said, very mixed feelings. I will keep you all posted about how I am doing after I go in and how my pcos symptoms go afterwards. I've been very busy trying to get my house in order and arrangements made for my girls, so I may not be on here much. So Sonnet my friend, have a wonderful trip and can't wait to see your posts about your trip and meeting your boy. Don't forget what I said, you have everything it takes to be a wonderful mother. You are sensitive, caring, thoughtful, and a good listener! You will be great. Take care all of you, you're support here is what helps me get through the days dealing with this pcos crap and makes it worthwile!
