Hi Tara!

I also have many books that also mention this. One of my books says this "Any position that increases the natural backward tilt of your vagina can also increase your chances for conception by allowing sperm to get a good head start in the right direction." It is not "necessary" and obviously women get pregnant without doing this but it's worth a try, right? My regular OBGYN also mentioned the hip elevation and rest thing after sex. So did my reproductive endo. Also, after my artificial insemination they had me lay flat with my hips elevated for some time before I went home. So they must think that it makes some difference. I then was told to rest at home as well for the rest of the afternoon. Hope you get pregnant. It can be difficult with PCOS but it does happen. God bless! Tera
