Well, I just watched it...must say that I feel like writing to the Oprah show again. I remember a year or so ago, when a bunch of us from this board got together and sent emails to the Oprah show after that Dr. Whatever his name was said that all fat people are that way because they choose to be and because they eat too much. Well, on todays show there were four courageous large women who like to eat...and (maybe because of that) are between 270-380 lbs. They are (the majority of them) happy with themselves & their bodies....and, personally I think that's great. Now, here's what bothers me....these shows (such as Oprah today) are sticking it into peoples heads that ALL people are FAT because they EAT too much & that it really doesn't bother them that they are so fat. So, that's great...here we are (many of us overweight PCOS cysters)...stuggling day to day...not only with the weight but with many other horrible effects of PCOS...and who knows...when we walk into the mall, the grocery store...anywhere....people will have that thought in the back of their minds..."whoa...she eats WAY too much...she's fat!" So, I'll do it again...write that letter to Oprah...letting her know what kind of message she's putting out there and voicing my opinion about how this kind of message hurts people like myself. When will it end? Sorry to ramble...just needed to vent....and the cats weren't offering much support today! :-)
