DHEAS & 'Dex Test'

Hi Ladies-

ANOTHER doctor, and ANOTHER completely different set of "facts" and philosophies about PCOS. Here's the latest...three months ago, my DHEAS was high (400 pg/ml) and Dr. A put me on spiro 100 mg/day, told me to come back in 6 months. Yesterday, Dr. B says we need to determine whether the DHEAS is ovarian or adrenal in origin by doing a dex test. He says that if it's adrenal, 3 months on Decadron will "fix" it, and I will not have to take a med to lower my DHEAS for the rest of my life. 3 months of anything sounds better than a lifetime of spironolactone. So what's your take on this? Is this legit? If so, why did Dr. A not mention it and put me on spiro? And explain to me how ten different doctors say ten totally different things!!?!?!?!?!? Ugh! Thanks so much for your advice.

Love, Chris
