There's a big difference between having PCO and having PCOS (Man we've GOT to change that name!!) Large cysts like you've experienced are actually, as far as I know, fairly uncommon with PCOS - we tend more towards strings of very tiny unruptured cysts, often so small they can't be detected on U/S.

That being said, I am sure someone here has gone through something similar and can offer you some advice! You might also want to consider posting on the women's health forum here at obgyn.net to see if the women (or doctors) there have some ideas.

I'm sorry you're going through this - I can imagine it would be very scary and isolating! I hope you find some people going through the samething to compare notes with. Good luck!
