my period and when I've been eating too much sugar. When I removed refined sugar from my diet, I went from having 3 - 4 (or more) of them at any given time to going several days or even weeks without one. Then they were only one at a time - a huge improvement!

It helps them drain faster and not hurt so much to apply hot compresses. Get a washcloth / face washer and soak in hot water from the tap - not hot enough to burn but as hot as you can stand it. Then pack it onto the boil and let it sit for 10 minutes or so at a stretch.

Of course when they drain be meticulous about keeping them clean. I try to keep mine covered and treat them a couple times a day with antibiotic cream stuff.

Hope that is a start at least!
