The starter pack was on a rebate at the time (not sure if it still is) for about $26.99 or similar ... I ordered it over the net so I paid extra for S&H. I'm not "following" the Atkins diet per se as taking all of the information from it that I like and incorporating it into my own diet. I am not going down as low as 20 carbs per day but have cut my intake down considerabely and am eating some of their food. I like the shakes and the bars, especially the chocolate! (I didn't know you could buy chocolate bars made w/splenda in 7-11's!!)

Now that the supplements are doing so much for me I'm going to keep taking them. I have found that I don't need to take them as often as they say. Just twice a day even though the multivitamin says 3 times. I eat about half my meal, take the pills, and eat the rest. That seems the best way to go about it for me.

(great cheesecake recipe in one of the little booklets you get)

Since taking the vitamins I have not been physically hungry (stomach growling, feeling of nausea if you don't eat right away, etc) even when waking up this morning. At this point my hunger is all in my head. That is helping a lot (physical hunger is reaaallly annoying to me).

P.S. if you have a Safeway near you I found that they are now carrying Atkins products... I saw shakes, shake mixes, a large selection of candy/meal bars, breakfast bars, flavored syrups (all of them) and chocolate syrup for pancakes. I didn't see the chocolate bars though but I can buy them at 7-11! :)
