Decisions, Decisions...From: Anissa (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sat, 12 Jan 2002 09:04:47 -0600 (CST)
Hi! My name is Anissa and I was dx with PCOS 10 years ago and was treated with BC pills. I have changed doctors and am waiting for lab tests to come back. I gained 80 lbs in one year. I had to take high doses of clomid to get pregnant and now I am blessed with twin daughters. I am 32 years old and I don't know if I want anymore children (hubby doesn't) and we definitely don't want to do the fertility drugs again. I also have endometriosis and so that adds to the infertility package!! I am hoping to go on Metformin to help with the insulin resistance and weight loss. Has anyone thought about taking the over the counter stuff for menopausal women the soy-estrogen products? We don't produce enough estrogen and that is why we can't ovulate, right? What do think would happen if I started taking them? Any ideas? I am also considering a hysterectomy, but can't decide on that either. I am welcome to all opinions and emails. Anissa
