mine started about 8 years ago, and the weight, about 80 lbs came on in
less than a year. i remember having to take my rings off, a different
one each month as my fingers kept swelling, and then i had to have the
last few cut off! i blew up like a balloon. i have a picture of me
holding my daughter and you can see the normal bone structure in my
face, another picture, taken not too much later - because i am holding
my daughter again and shes only a little older and my face is round, and
swollen and looks doubled in size. now it was not just my hands & face,
everything became huge & swollen. a good weight for me was 175, i
gained 60 lbs while pregnant, and hovered around the 225 mark (which i
thought was just THE WORST) then that 80 lbs came on and i have been
stuck in the 275-295 range ever since. this actually is very scary for
me to say it out loud. anyway i seem to be able to "loose" 10lbs in a
day because it really fluctuates alot between those above numbers. i am
38 now, so this started just after i turned 30. before that i battled
weight at 10-20 lbs, and had very regular, normal periods (and thick
hair & good skin).
