That's great about the Chrohn's!

I had symptoms right after the first day. I suspect I might have colitis, (but I don't want to know for sure).

I increased slower than you're scheduled to. I went up to 1000 after a month, I tried 1500 another month later but I was trying a low carb/high protein diet and felt horrible. (Now I just do low glycemic)

I've been experiencing a lot of stress so I thought I'd give the 1500 another try and I had no problem - except the loose bowels has increased, and initially had the runs as I do with every increase.

Are you taking glucophage xr - I tried the regular glucophage and that gave me almost instantaneous problems. The xr formula has a time released coating that's easier on the system.

Do take it after or during the middle of a meal. I also take iron supplements which are suppose to cause constipation in most people, I think it eases my glucophage side effects -- (but don't take iron without getting blood tests including ferritin).

Good luck!
