Re: A PERSONAL QUESTION ABOUT WEIGHT!!SORRY,I JUST HAVE TO KNOW HERE...From: Beth (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 11 Jan 2002 09:09:57 -0600 (CST)
>From what I've read 40-50% of women with PCOS are overweight. (varying degrees of such) I've never seen the numbers for the 50-60% who aren't broken down into anything else. (such as no weight issues, fights weight issues and so on) I was lucky enough to get diagnosed / start treatment while still considered at the top of my 'healthy' weight range. (172 pounds) Had I not been there is no doubt I would have been overweight now. You would never know by looking at me, with meds and diet changes I'm thin again. It's a daily struggle (and work!!) but I'm bound and determined to maintain if it kills me LOL. My trouble right now is hair. Actually if things keep up my trouble will be lack thereof : P. If it's not one symptom it's another. I'm not sure there's such a thing as controlling everything really well all at once for me.
