Your doctor is incorrect. Having babies is more difficult for us PCOSers, but it is possible for many of us. There isn't a deadline of being 18 years old to have babies. It doesn't shut off like a clock when you blow out your candles. Many PCOSers have their babies in their 20' s and 30's.

I would suggest you talk with another physician who knows more about PCOS. There are many things, such as low-carbing, metformin, clomid, and close monitoring for hormone levels while pregnant, that can help.

Don't feel rushed to get pregnant unless you're really ready for it. It's life changing and a serious responsibility. I'm 30 and almost ready. :-) 18 is very young, and it will make further education and getting started on a career and such more difficult.\
