Hi,

Ok, tell you what, I am 15 and I wanted to let you know that your doctor is wrong (sad to say), however you should find a reproductive endocrinologist(fertility specialist) because he would know about it more than any one and they treat PCOS. If you can't find one of those you should be able to find a endocrinologist (a doctor for sugar related problems) because of the insulin and glucose problems that are part of the PCOS.

I went to a sugar doctor until about a month ago and they put me on Glucophage 500mg 3 times a day (when I eat) and I didn't realize how it was helping me until my doctor moved to a different state and the replacement for her told me i didn't have to take it any more. Then my hair was starting to fall out and stuff. That is when my mom took me to see Dr. Perloe a specialist in baby related things and he put me on Glucophage XR which I take three pills only once a day and I am feeling better and he told me to call him if i decide to have sex because the Glucophage makes it more likely to get prgnant if I have sex. He sounded as if it were guaranteed. I am so glad because I thought I was never going to have any children and I really want some.

Unfortunatly, if you do have children now it will be very dangerous for you and the child. And unfortunatly I cannot recommend a good doctor for PCOS in your area because I live in Atlanta.

hope this helps
