Re: PCOS HELPFrom: Sonnet (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 10 Jan 2002 17:20:40 -0600 (CST)
You doctor told you you can only get pregnant in the next year because of PCOS? Rubbish! LOTS and lots of women who are in their 20's, 30's and 40's have PCOS, sometimes really severe PCOS, and they get pregnant. Sometimes it takes a little more work but it is SO possible and actually quite likely that you will be able to conceive in the future! (Assuming you haven't got other complications from a different disease or something.) Forget the whole next year, 6 months thing. Read up all you can on PCOS and I think you'll find having kids with PCOS is quite common, although it is sometimes a challenge. 17 is awfully young to be thinking about having a child before you lose your fertility!
