Glcophage question

Hi, all!

Well, last week my gastrointerologist (my doctor for Crohn's disease), said that he thinks that I'm in remission with my Crohn's and that it's OK for me to take Glucophage for the PCOS.

My gyn gave me the Glucophage this past Mon. and I started it on Tues. I noticed today that I had some diarrhea and I'm a bit queasy. Does it usually take a few days for these symptoms to start, or have most of you encountered these symptoms immediately after starting the Glucophage? I'm just wondering if it's a flu-bug thing instead of the medication.

The dose that he gave me for the first week is 500 mg per day, (a pill a day). Next week, I'm to start taking 2 pills a day, (1000 mg.per day).

Thanks all, Bonnie
