I agree that HMD is a better choice than Diabetes Type III, as its more
accurate and IR is more like the oposite of diabetes, but I do see where
you are coming from. The only problem is, as you pointed out, if you
change the name now, it might become even more confusing. However,
having said that, we've managed (more or less) move on from Stein
Leventhall Syndrome, which has GOT to be a good thing!! :-) So maybe if
we all press for a change now, it will become accepted more quickly.
Anything that helps speed up the correct diagnosis for fellow sufferers
has got to be a good thing. And as a straw poll, none of my friends
have ever known what PCOS is or what the name stands for, so maybe now's
the moment?
