I totally agree.
The cysts on our ovaries are just a symptom of the condition not the
cause so the name should definitely be changed.
It confuses a lot of people by calling it PCOS.
I would prefer not to have it called something to do with Hormones as
that tends to lead people to think that you will be this 'mood swinging'
monster (even though sometimes I am :o) !)
I tend to tell people that I have insulin resistance which leads to
'other problems' at that's all they need to know really. I'm too
embarrassed to explain all the symptoms.
Will be interested to hear other peoples ideas.
