So,you worked in the Health Care Profession hu! Doing what? Get the heck off this site and stop making us women more vulnerable and angry.

Worry about your own troubles. If you don't like Barbara's book...then don't read it!!!!!!!!

She is expressing herself as best as she can,and I think most will agree to that. I am an R.N that suffers with PCOS.

She clearly states her difficulties by showing her pains and not suggestive of any pity party at all. This woman is seriously ill with her syndrome, and needs medical attention. The opposing factor is that there is no cure for lupus, and sometimes there is no pain relief at all. To top of her already overburdend system, she now discovers she also has PCOS. Do you even have a clue what LUPUS is? I agree..I think you should sign off. If you were in the medical profession, then I suggest that you should know alot more than to post such ridiculous questions. I joined this site for support, and that is what I get.

FYI__HYPOCHONDRIASIS IS A DISORDER WHERE ONE READS EVERY SINGLE THING OUT THERE ABOUT ILLNESS AND CLAIMS TO HAVE ALL THE NEW DISEASES OUT THERE. HYPOCHONDRIACS KNOW AND WALK INTO THEIR DOCTOR'S OFFICE WELL INFORMED,KNOWING ALOT ABOUT THEIR ILLNES AND INSISTING THAT THEY HAVE A PARTICULAR ILLNESS THAT CAN CHANGE FROM DAY TO DAY. IN BARBARA'S CASE,SHE DID NOT KNOW WHAT WAS WRONG WITH HER AND CONSIDERED HERSELF TO BE A HEALTHY,ACTIVE WOMAN THAT DIDN'T CONCERN HERSELF WITH HER HEALTH PROBLEMS AND ACTUALLY DIDN'T GET ATTENTION WHEN SHE SHOULD HAVE.

HYPOCHONDRIACS DO ALOT OF RESEARCH,THIS WOMAN DID NOT.THAT IS APPARANT TO US,THAT IS WHY SHE JOINED THIS SITE.
