There was a TV commercial out for beer last year that showed guys in a bar saying all the self-depricating/un-self-confident things women say, such as "Do I look fat in this?" "I've got my mother's hips. I just have to accept it." And others. Those are the ones that come to mind.
The reason the commercial was so funny, and it sticks with me, is that they look really stupid saying that stuff. So, why do we say it?
