Teresa's absolutely right. There are a lot of women here who say that their men are quite good-looking, and we all go through the phase of "why would he ever want me?" These are men who could get nearly anyone they want, and THEY WANT US!!!!

Like Teresa said, not all men like the skinny, bony girls from the magazines. Many like a woman who's soft, has curves, and is nice to hold. Holding a bony woman isn't comforting. And, the skinny ones aren't as curvy as we are.

On a related note, I found out last week that Mode magazine stopped publication. I'm so bummed. I never bought an issue of Vogue/Cosmo/Glamour etc., but was a charter member of Mode. I think it did wonders for those it touched, helping us to believe that we can be sexy if we're bigger than a size 6. Seeing ourselves as curvy. Seeing larger women look stunning in clothing and lingerie. I have one dress that is slightly clingy and form fitting. I would never have bought that a year ago. I call it my "va-va-voom" dress. When I first put it on and showed my husband, he stopped mid-word and his eyes nearly bugged out. :-D And, I'm a size 24-26 (depending on style of the garment, and where I am in my bouncing weight at the time). I'm not small.
