Re: Chronic Headaches

Heya! Thanks so much for all your replies. I'm not online very much over the holidays, but I wanted to respond, in general. I know of a few food triggers, such as chocolate. I can't eat chocolate at all without being in tons of pain. Right now, eating lots of carbs is the only way to not get very sick...my head throbs and I get extremely nauseous, even if I'm full from non-carb food. And if I go too long, I eventually throw up. This has been a recent thing...from only a few months ago. The headaches, as I said before, have been around for years. I very rarely take medicine of any kind (except birth control pills, and i've been on and off them with no change in my headaches). I very rarely take tylenol, etc, and when I do, it is usually for some other ailment--it does no good for my headaches. Long ago, OTC meds would work, but then I'd build up a tolerance to them. Now I can take 1500mg of Tylenol at any given time and it won't affect my headache (unless i bump my head or something, then it helps that added pain). The only thing I take is a muscle relaxer that helps me sleep when the pain gets unbearable. It usually takes me about 6 months or so to go through 30 pills, though.

I was supposed to go to the dr on the 26th. I was about 20 minutes away from the drs office when my car broke down, 2 hrs from home. I had to reschedule for 1/8/02. HOPEFULLY nothing will go wrong there!

Thanks again for all your concern!
