My mother was always thin and was diagnosed with adult onset (type II) diabetes when she was 27. She usually stayed around 120-130 lbs at 5'6" but right before her diagnosis her condition had deteriated so far that she was stick thin. She never gained weight and as fat as she ever got in her lifetime was 150s and she usually lost it again, plus as you age weight packs on she especially has trouble with it around her middle. Skinny as can be everywhere but there's that big belly :) she didn't have trouble sticking to any diets or anything either it was just her natural weight.
