Mary...

Not sure if you were still around and hoping for an answer...but, here's my take... I don't think it's so much eating fat as eating protein and staying away from carbs. You should not have to continue eating fat to stay in ketosis. A diet high in proten and lo-carb veggies should be enough to continue the ketosis...well, it was for me. And, I was never big on consuming fats. As far as I could tell it was the restiction of my carbs that led me into ketosis....so, I don't believe that you would slip out of ketosis if you cut back on fats...just watch the carbs. That's all I was doing and it worked miracles...now...if I could only do it again! :-) Alexis At Wed, 12 Dec 2001, Debbie wrote: >

I tried upping the L-carn to 1500 a day, but that didn't work either. Hopefully, the RE will be able to help out & answer some ?'s for me on the 30th. Thanks again for your help! Also, are you taking Inositol as well?

I too had a standstill for about 2 weeks. But I have read somewhere that it is not counted as a plateau unless you have stalled for a month. So try not to worry. Some days our bodies retain more water than others.

I'm still doing everything the same...can't understand why this is happening! :-( Not maintaining the ketosis anymore either...just can't get back in. One thing I have learned in the past few days....is that

(Ive been working out in the gym twice a week for two weeks now as well - so that may also be a contributory factor) But that means I can add more carbs if I want and still know I will maintain weight loss.
