Brenda PLEASE READ....................................>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>From: Lauree (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 28 Dec 2001 15:48:41 -0600 (CST)
Hello Brenda. I read your post and wondering about this removal of the cervix? Are you talking conebiopsy or a partial removal? I had a conbiopsy in 99 which is when they go in and take out a cone shape of my cervix which I also had abnormal cells. I does grow back. But I will tell you this since I had to get a second opinion after having the first cone done and the ob that i had wanted to do another 3 months later since she was not the one that did the first one. I went to and Unocologist and she viewed all my coposcopy, pap and cone Then she told me after viewing all this That I WAS FINE. I did not need the first one and definatly did not need a second one. I was then told all women when they hit a certain age will show some signs of abnormal cells. Depends on there life style and if HPV is present. HPV is Human Papolonis Virus(spellcheck) and that 98 percent of all people that have had more then one partner may have it. Nothing big...........unless you are very permisqueous. If they are not doing a cone then i would get a second opinion!!! Take care Lauree
