Michele, when did you start taking the Glucophage? It takes a long time, several months for some women, for the side effects to lessen. Until then, you might be dealing with nausea, diarrhea, heartburn, etc. Certain foods definitely make it worse but it seems like this varies for everyone! Coffee means instant problems for me even now (been on the Glucophage since 1999) and at times I am very sensitive to dairy. I didn't have problems with either before starting on it.

Give it a few months for your body to adjust. After that, you may be free and clear, or you may find that certain foods still set you off. In which case you can make the decision to live with that, or switch to a gentler form, like Glucophage XR.
