Hi,

I am a lurker only because I have limited time to type during the day, but I really had to respond to this post.

I have had PCOS for 10 years. I have been seeing an RE now for 1 year and DX 2 years ago. I don't want to get bombarded or start a problem but from everything I have learned and from everything that the 2 doctors that I have seen told me you don't have to have a level of 30 to ovulate.

Short background info....My first level from a total testosterone draw was 177, after one month of Met is was 111, after 2 months of Met it is down to 77.

I am on MetforminXR 1500mg and just finished 2nd round of clomid 50mg. On CD#14 I had an u/s and had two follicles that were 15mm and 17mm. So If my testosterone is at 77 I would not have ovulated.

My RE has focused on getting my levels below 80 and it has been sucessfull. According to my RE, anything above 80 and ovulation is inhibited. Just wanted to put in my 2 cents.

Take care Allison
