PCOS and hysterectomy?

I have a question. I'm still learning about all this stuff but from what I've read, the ovaries are responsible for the increased hormone production which is then responsible for a lot of the other stuff. "IF" this is true (I'm still reading), would a hysterectomy stop all the problems? I'm 38 years old, already have all the children I'm going to have, and was just diagnosed with PCOS so would a hysterectomy end my problems?
