...just an update on me and praise for metforminFrom: Cassandra (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 19 Dec 2001 10:08:07 -0600 (CST)
Hey, everyone... i don't know if you remember me, but i was on this forum quite a bit last spring. at that time i decided to take a break from focusing on getting pregnant and obsessing about this disease. well, it's been a great year. i've come to terms with the fact that i may never become pregnant and my hubby and i are instead focusing on a fulfilling life without children. i may change my mind later, but for now, that's what we're doing. i'm happy to say that i have been on 2000mg of metformin a day for the last year and in that year i have lost 45lbs...without trying at all. :) it's hard for me to explain how much met has changed my life... i don't eat as much i don't even think about food i'm not driven to eat i don't crave carbs i have tons more energy i enjoy exercising i am not anxietal anymore i'm more focused i cry less i nag less i'm happier i really believe met has helped with all those things. the unfortunate thing is that i still do not have regular periods, although they are more regular than before. maybe i never will and that's just something i have to deal with. the male pattern hair growth i have is still there, too, but it doesn't grow as fast, so that is good. :) anyway, i just thought i'd stop in and say hi. thanks for all the help you gave me when i was first diagnosed. it was a big help. :)
