Re: A message of hope for women with PCOS

The problem with sugary snacks is that they will provide a quick hit of energy but your sugar levels come crashing down just as fast leaving you more tired then before. For energy, you should eat protein, complex carbohydrates such as Bananas which release the sugar slower giving it time to turn into energy or vegetables. Caffiene and other stimulants only provide a very short term energy boost - they should be avoided really to stay healthy.

Hark at me - I've become an expert all of a sudden !!!

Apparantly, eating protein before EVERYTHING will kick start your metabolism and help you process other foods quicker.

I suffer exactly the same thing. I used to fall asleep at my desk in the afternoons until I cut out my Baked potato at lunchtime. I now have salad or vegetables and some protein and feel a lot better.

Hope these tips help.
