Wow that may be part of my problem, we are taught in this society that if you are tired, take something to fix it - caffeine, sugar, etc. I take a cup of mocha in the morning and used to eat a chocolate rocket - extra caffeinnated chocolate. Didn't help at all. I was falling asleep at work until at least 10:30 - and then would tire out again by 2:00... I am totally going to ask my doctor to test for insulin resistance (if he isn't doing that as part of this last test). It makes terrible sense since my mother was insulin-dependent diabetic while she was pregnant with me (and still is of course), and diabetes runs strongly in our family. In the meantime, I would _love_ suggestions for healthy pick-me-up snacks.
