Great doctors appointment....one year later....From: cw (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 14 Dec 2001 20:19:46 -0600 (CST)
Hi. I just want to share with everyone my good news. To let some of you know there is hope. I am 43 years old, and was just diagnosed with pcos one year ago. Yes, very late. Today I had my one-year follow-up visit with my gyn (pcos and infertility specialist). I had another ultrasound. My ovaries, which last year looked 3 times too large and with so many cysts they could pass for bee hives, today, were so small and such little shadows, that my doctor could barely find them on the ultrasound screen! Is this fantastic news or what! No more cysts! (And no more hair problems). Yipeee! I have Demulen35 to thank for that. And yes, I plan on staying on it. I began taking glucophage a 3 weeks ago. I asked her about my little glucophage problem. How even 500 mg. seemed like too much for me and made me too tired and such. I told her I was cutting it up and taking 1/3 or 1/2 with each meal. Was that OK? She said absolutely yes, whatever works. She said that the proper dosage of glucophage for each person is whatever makes them feel good. Whether its 250mg a day or 2000 mg a day or whatever. Everyone is different, and we should listen to our bodies. In 2 more months, I'll get blood tests to see what else has improved. My doctor is a sweetie. She is so supportive. I left her office with a smile on my face.
